Wayne R. Smith

Mr. Wayne Ray Smith, aged 85, of Goochland, Virginia, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Floyd Smith Sr., his sister-in-law Beverly Smith, and his niece Tyler Smith. He is lovingly remembered by his nephews, Floyd F. Smith, Jr., Robin Smith, Dean Smith, and Darryl Smith.

Professionally, Wayne dedicated many years to his work as a commercial painter before retiring in his early 50s.Wayne was a man who cherished life and embraced it with joy. Known for his playful spirit and sense of humor, he brought laughter to those around him. He had a deep passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

A graveside service will be held noon, Thursday, April 16th at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond Virginia.
