Venna Childress Brown

Venna Leigh Childress Brown, 93 of Goochland, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2023. 

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Tom Brown, son Bobby Brown and wife Janet, grandson Ashley and wife Jamie, great grandsons Taylor and Carter Brown, granddaughter Cindy and husband Tommy Woody, great grandson Wyatt Smith, great granddaughters Katie and Amber Woody.

Venna was a devoted homemaker, devoted to her family, other extended families, and friends in the community, serving them in whatever way was needed.  She was an active member in Mizpah Christian Church, Co. 4 Fire-Rescue Auxiliary, early years in Fife Rescue Squad, and Fife Homemakers Club. 

A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18^th, 2023, at Norman Funeral Chapel, 2982 River Road West, Goochland between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and A Funeral service to be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 19^th, 2023, at Mizpah Christian Church, 5257 Old Columbia Road, Goochland, Virginia. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Mizpah Christian Church, 5257 Old Columbia Road, Goochland, VA 23063, or to Fife Co. 4 Fire-Rescue Auxiliary, P. O. Box 261, Goochland, VA 23063.
