A Journey Home
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelations 21:4
Tamond A. (Lil Jake/T.J.) Martin 41 began a new ride on July 20, 2026 from Charlottesville, Virginia to his new home called Heaven. He was born July 7, 1985 in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Lillian Martin and Thomas A. Logan. His maternal great-grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph N. Martin, step-great-grandmother Gladys B. Martin, paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Willie Jasper Logan, one aunt Mrs. Jessie Diane Ricks, uncles Arthur Eugene Logan and Earl Douglas Logan preceded him in death.
Tamond attended Charlottesville High School. He enjoyed playing football, he enjoyed helping people whenever he could and he loved his Oldies. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson and friend to all who knew him and his children made his life very special. His faith in God kept him standing tall and strong.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Lillian Martin (Byron), his father Tony, four children Jhynevious Martin, Zion Carey, Ta’Liaysha France and August Carter. Three siblings Tevin J. Martin, Keyshanna Calloway and Thomas Logan, Jr., grandmother Joanne Martin, five uncles Reginald Martin (Annette), Edward Martin, Willie C. Logan, Eddie L. Logan and Vincent E. Logan; four aunts Lisa Martin-Gibbs (Rena), Ruth A Logan, Anna E. Ayers and Nancy L. Brice; five great-aunts, Phyllis M. Spencer, Charlotte E. Martin, Phyllis Y. Wallace-Jackson (Richard), Cynthia P. Johnson (Melvin) and Laverne Young. A host of family and friends who loved and will miss him dearly.
