Susan Lascolette

Susan Fouche Lascolette, a cherished resident of Goochland County, passed away at the age of 76. Born on February 1, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of James Robert Fouche and Laura June Tomon. 

Susan shared her life with her late husband, Warren Bruce Lascolette, and was predeceased by her parents. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: brother James Robert (Bobby) Fouche, sister Doris Fouche McKenzie (Richard), sister Betty Fouche Dehart, and brother Donald Eugene Fouche (Karen); along with her niece, Christina Kemp (Henry), great niece Billie Marie Pennington and nephew Matthew Fouche. 

A dedicated professional, Susan had a fruitful career as a Senior Insurance Underwriter with notable firms such as Maryland Casualty, Security Insurance, and Markel. Her spirit of service extended beyond her career as she devoted herself passionately to volunteer work, supporting causes such as Meals on Wheels, Goochland Cares and the Goochland Fire Auxiliary. 

Susan’s civic contributions were significant; she served as District #1 Supervisor for Goochland County from 2012 to 2024, was past President of the Goochland Republican Women, an active member of the Goochland Republican Committee and served as member of the State Central Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia from 2016 representing the 7th and 5th Districts. She was deeply involved in the community, actively championing grassroots Republican Party efforts and Goochland County Fire-Rescue. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication. 

A funeral service to honor Susan's legacy will be held 11:00am Saturday, June 27th, 2026, at the Goochland County High School Auditorium, 3250 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to support Goochland County Fire -Rescue services.
