Mary Childress Ragland

Mary Childress Ragland, 91, of Goochland, VA, passed peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021. Mary was born on October 15, 1929 to her late parents, Earl Wellington, Sr. and Ruth Chapel Childress. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie W. Ragland, Jr. Mary is survived by her two sons, Woodsey Ragland and Steve Ragland (Elaine); four grandchildren, Lon Ragland (Mary Beth), Lance Ragland, Michael Ragland and Cynthia Kettlewell (Henry); and five great grandchildren. Mary was a long time member of Byrd Presbyterian Church and an active member for many decades of the women of the Byrd Church. She worked in the family lumber and pulpwood business, L.W. Ragland Co., Inc., for most of her career. There will be a visitation from 4:30-7:30pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Norman Funeral Chapel in Goochland, VA. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Byrd Presbyterian Church, 2229 Dogtown Rd., Goochland, VA 23063 .
