Our dearly beloved Peggy Beasley James, 69, of Louisa, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2026.
Born on September 6, 1957, Peggy was the daughter of the late Lucille and James Addison Beasley, Sr.
Peggy was a devoted mother, beloved grandmother, loving sister, and dear friend to many. Above all else, family was at the heart of her life. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Ashley, and that love grew even greater with the arrival of her grandson, Lucas. Being his grandmother brought her tremendous joy, and she loved every opportunity to spoil him, spend time with him, and make him feel deeply loved.
Peggy had a beautifully vibrant and caring personality and a remarkable gift for making things special for the people she loved. She was the planner who always had everything together, making sure things got done and everyone was taken care of. She especially loved the holidays, hosting gatherings, and bringing family together. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking, trips to the beach, dancing, and music.
Peggy carried her remarkable organization and dedication into her professional life as an office and administrative manager, where she took great pride in her work and was exceptionally talented at what she did. She was also a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her daughter, Ashley James, and Ashley’s husband, Chase Blunt; her grandson, Lucas Blunt; her brother, James Addison Beasley, Jr.; her sisters, Doris Fleming and Renee Perkins; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Peggy will be remembered for her loving heart, her vibrant spirit, the beautiful gatherings and traditions she created, and the countless ways she made life special for those around her. Most of all, she will be remembered for how deeply she loved her family. The love she gave them, and the memories they created together, will remain with them always.
A graveside service will be held on October 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 4768 Shannon Hill Road, Columbia, Virginia.
