Marjorie S. Pearce January 29, 1941- December 16, 2021 Marjorie went home to be with her Lord and Savior and entered her eternal home on December 16, 2021, in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 80. She was born January 29, 1941, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Willie and Pearl Short. Marjorie spent her childhood in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where she met, fell in love and later married William (Bobby/Bill) Pearce on March 16,1957. After getting married they raised two children; Lena York and Danny Pearce Sr. They lived in numerous places in North Carolina and Virginia before settling down in Kents Store, Virginia in 1999. This is where they have lived out their lives caring for each other and their beloved animals. Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Willie, her mother Pearl, and her sister, Joyce Redwine. Marjorie will forever be held in the hearts of her loving husband of 64 years William (Bobby/Bill) Pearce, daughter Lena York and husband Michael York, son Danny Pearce Sr. and wife Veronica Pearce, grandchildren Danny Pearce Jr. and wife Brenda Pearce, Jessie Llewellyn and husband Daniel Llewellyn, McKenzie Rosado and husband Demetri Rosado, Ashley Snowdon and husband Josh Snowdon, brother Claude and wife Elizabeth (Bessie) Short, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Her legacy will continue through her great-grandchildren Braiden, Bradley, Amy, Lucas, Macie, Colton, Amory, Bekah, Savannah and Willow. Marjorie was a passionate person. She loved cooking and sharing her special recipes. She had a special place in her heart for caring for all of God’s creations, especially animals. She was a devout woman who enjoyed spending time with her church community. She was a present person in the lives of those who loved her. She was a caring, loving, and supportive wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved tremendously and will be missed dearly until we see her again. For our hope is in Jesus' Words: John 16:22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made in her memory to Beulah Baptist Church 1633 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 23084
Visitation is Sunday, December 16th, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Sheridan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 20th, 2021 at Beulah Baptist Church, officiated by Jason Taylor.
