James (Jim) Sylvester Normile, age 49, of Bremo Bluff, Virginia passed away on October 28, 2019 in his home. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Mildred Bocs and Michael Normile, as well as his sister, Angel Kannard. He is survived by his wife, Tisha Normile, two sons, Cody and Casey Normile, two step daughters Angela Phillips and Arlene Viviani, stepson Joey Cambria, two son-in-laws Zach Phillips and Joey Viviani, four grandsons, Jordan Cambria, Carter Viviani,
Ben Viviani, and Gavin Normile, two brothers Michael Normile and Gene Messersmith, stepfather Imre Bocs, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim was born in Long Branch, New Jersey. He lived various places growing up. He then attended Wall High School in Wall, New Jersey. After high school he spent many years in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2010 he reconnected with his high school sweetheart. They got married, so he then moved to be with his beloved wife in Bremo Bluff, Virginia. Jim was the owner of a company, JTI Inspections. He enjoyed his daily morning roadtrips across Virginia to do home inspections. He also enjoyed watching movies, anything to do with cars, and spending time with his family and pets. He was well known for his humorous storytelling and generous heart. He was very proud of all of the accomplishments of all of his children. Jim was a man who would drop everything to help those who he loved. He is going to be missed dearly by many.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 to honor Jim. The service will take place at 2:00 P.M. at Fork Union Baptist Church, 4745 James Madison Hwy, Fork Union, VA 23055.
