Marie Small Daniels

Marie Small Daniels of Goochland, Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 4th, 2026, and we trust she heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, John Lewis and Thelma C. Small. 

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas Daniels; sons, James (Sondra) and David (Janet); siblings, John Jr. (special friend Sandra), Betty, Herman (Patty), and Mazie (Kenny); and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Marie was thoughtful, hardworking, and quick-witted, with a warmth that drew people to her. As her great-niece said, “Marie loved everyone.” She was devoted to her family and church family, loved being outdoors, enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, and held fond memories of growing up on the farm. She retired from the Goochland County Public Schools Nutrition Department. 

A visitation will be Wednesday, October 7th, between the hours of 5:00-8:00pm at Norman Funeral Chapel, 2982 River Road West, Goochland. Her funeral services will take place 10:00am, Thursday, October 8th at Corinth Global Methodist Church, St. Paul’s Church Road, Goochland. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity in Marie’s memory.
