Margorae Freimuth

Margorae Pat Freimuth was born in Wisconsin on September 10, 1946, to Michael Joseph Ceicilia and Idamae Velva Stuck. Margo was a very resilient, independent person who overcame several obstacles including a brain tumor where she lost the sight of one eye but never lost sight of her dreams. 

Margo made a positive influence for so many people across the globe as she taught in several states and overseas in Italy and Africa. She loved teaching science and always talked about how much she loved the CSI unit she created as much as the students. In 2002, Margo was awarded the Special Act Award in Naples Italy for being the Earth Day sponsor. Outside of the classroom Margo taught many about critters as she ran a wildlife rescue at her home in Argenta, Illinois. She was honored in 1984 by the board of trustees of the Macon County Conservation District for outstanding achievement in conservation and environmental awareness. 

Margo also spent two years in the Peace Corp, serving on the aquaculture project in the Congo where she helped African families improve their diet and living conditions. She received a Certificate of Appreciation for her dedication and outstanding contributions towards sustainable development, global understanding, and world peace. 

Margo was a loyal Alabama fan never missing a game. She even sported an Alabama magnet on the hood of her car announcing it everyone. 

She was an extremely proud mother, Nonna, and Great Nonna. She loved her family including her church family second only to God. She spent many hours studying God's word and strengthening her personal relationship with Him. She always volunteered to help others and will be greatly missed. 

The following is what Margo wanted her family and friends to know: " I am in heaven with my God, my Lord Jesus, and all my family."
