On September 12, 2025, Marcia Lee Hahl passed into the arms of our Lord.
Marcia was born and raised in Billings Montana. Her family homesteaded in Montana, so hard work and adventure were a part of her life. She enjoyed school activities as well as social occasions and dancing.
Marcia attended the College of Education in Greely Colorado. During her senior year, she met Ross Hahl the love of her life. Shortly after graduating, she and Ross were married, and they began their teaching careers.
In 1959 Marcia and Ross moved to Denver Colorado. It was during this time that they decided to live their lives for Christ.
Marcia and Ross relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1962 and became involved in Young Life Ministries.
Marcia loved being a mom and a partner to Ross. She embraced their ministry and opened her heart and home to all. Marcia used her gifts to both support their ministry and expand it.
She found a way to meet others where they were and used her home and hospitality to nurture relationships and create fellowship. Christ was at the center of her marriage and home, and this gently influenced every encounter.
She loved Jesus and prayer, teaching, and learning. She was a talented craftswoman, seamstress, and she dearly loved tea parties.
She would find joy and humor in any situation, was quick to laughter, and to praise God. Marcia developed and carried on many silly traditions that continue to be passed along and bring us joy. She was quick to celebrate your wins and affirm you, while acknowledging God’s hand in your life.
She loved and valued people. She had a gift for the details and making people feel seen and respected. Marcia was loving, vulnerable, supportive, encouraging, a compassionate disciple, and a generous and light-hearted spirit. Marcia cultivated relationships throughout her life that continue to impact and bless the people whose lives she touched. She was a trusted friend, mentor, and a courageous prayer warrior.
In addition to embracing her roles as wife and mother, Marcia loved being an Auntie and Grandmother. She was intentional about pouring into the lives of her nieces, nephews, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Through the special outings, activities, time together, and numerous tea parties, her intention was that each person would feel loved and know how precious they are.
She walked through countless challenges with hopeful determination and prayer. This allowed her to touch others in their pain and struggle, and bear witness to God’s mercy, faithfulness, and unfathomable grace. Some of her favorite times were when, due to a crisis, we gathered. She knew that with Jesus and each other, we could bear any burdens and somehow, someway, there was laughter.
Romans 12
12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Marcia’s legacy lives on through her children, Scott Hahl, Beth Jewell (Dave), Lori Williams (Steve), Julie McKervey, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephew and all the lives she touched.
