Linda Lou Harris-Mayo

Linda Harris Mayo went to be with Jesus on Monday, June 29, 2026. 

She was born in Fluvanna County to the late Edward and Christine Franklin. She joined Columbia baptist Church at an early age and had a wonderful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

She was predeceased by her parents, 2 siblings and a daughter, Rose Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Gorge Harris (Danielle). Emma Harris, Ewa (Ramona) Aborode and Hattie Mayo, 5 sisters, Carolyn (James) Tinsley, Dorothy Lewis, Aretha (Alvin) Lewis, Helen Franklin and Lillian Mickens: 7 brothers. William, Bobby (Sue), Tony (Heather), Herman, Edward (Becky, Robert (Angie), George (Donna) Franklin; 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special friend Bruce Johnson, whom she loved.

The memories shared, the lessons given, and the love spread will continue to live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Sis. Linda.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8th at Sheridan Funeral Home, 4626 Cedar Lane Road, Kents Store, Virginia between the hours of 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral service to honor Ms. Mayo will take place 1:00pm, Thursday, July 9th, at Fluvanna County High School, 1918 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra, Virginia.
