Lewis Winston Stratton, 86, of Gum Spring, VA, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 16th.
He was preceded in his death by his parents, Lloyd W. Stratton and Lenora F. Miller; and brothers Lloyd W. Stratton, Jimmy D. Stratton; and sister Teresa Stratton. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Juanita T. Stratton; children, Vincent L. Stratton (Lisa), Steve C. Stratton (Kim), and Casie S. Davis (Dave); God-daughter Suzanne Stevens; siblings, Alice L. Childress and George Stratton; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Deidrea, Vince Jr., Will, Amber, Alana, Mackenzie, Delaney, Seth, Emma, and Jake, and 4 great grandchildren, Jackson, McKayla, Arron, and Hamilton. Lewis was a wonderful husband and father.
Lewis served as an ammunition specialist and boxed in the Air Force. He was creative and artistic with the sense of humor of a rattlesnake. He excelled in construction and painting, working many years for Kings Dominion and Circuit City. He served as a deacon at Perkins Baptist Church.
Lewis will be dearly missed by his family, but we are comforted by knowing that is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Family night will be held on Wednesday, December 20th, between the hours of 6:00-7:30pm, at Norman Funeral Home, 2982 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia and his funeral service will be held 11:00am, on December 21, at Perkins Baptist Church, 3146 Hadensville-Fife Rd, Goochland, Virginia.
