John David Falwell, II, 54, passed away on March 10, 2026, while visiting Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on December 17, 1971, John lived a life full of energy, independence, and unforgettable moments. In his younger years, John worked at Boar’s Head Inn and Ivy Garden Apartments. He was known for living life on his own terms, with a vibrant spirit and a natural ability to bring people together—he was truly the life of any gathering. His laughter, charisma, and presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In recent months, John showed quiet strength and determination as he worked to make positive changes in his life. Those who knew him best will remember his resilience, his spirit, and the genuine connections he shared with others. To know John was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loretta Camille Falwell and John D. Falwell; his maternal grandparents, Robert “R.N.” Branham, Athlene Branham, and Nancy Morris; his paternal grandparents, Hazel Falwell and Charles “C.W.” Falwell. John is survived by his loving sister, Nicole Waddy (Ben); his uncle, Danny Falwell; Cousin Timmy (Stephanie), his son, John D. Falwell, III; his grandson Finn; who will carry on his legacy. He is also survived by many loving cousins and his nieces and nephews who enjoyed spending time with their uncle.
John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his bold spirit, his love of life, and the joy he brought to others.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
