Jean Parrish Hawk

Jean "Parrish" Hawk, aged 92, of Maidens, Virginia, peacefully passed away at her home on October 1, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.

Born on October 8, 1932, Jean was the cherished daughter of John and Edna Gibson. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Karl Hawk; her son, W.T. Parrish and his wife, Joyce; her grandson, Lucas Parrish and his wife, Kristine; her granddaughter, Candace Edwards and her fiancée, Don; as well as four great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, who were a foundational part of her life.

In her professional life, Jean worked as a secretary at Travelers Insurance Company, where she exemplified dedication and commitment. Outside of her career, Jean had a passion for flowers and gardening. Her vibrant personality was felt by all; she brought laughter and warmth to those around her, often described as the bright spot in every room and the life of the party.

A gathering of friends will take place October 18th, between the hours of 3:00-5:00pm, at Norman Funeral Chapel, 2982 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia.
