Fountain Davis Hodges

Fountain Davis Hodges passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025. Born on June 27, 1930, in Goochland, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Winfrey and Margaret Perkins Hodges. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and James Hodges; his daughter, Susan Demitry; and his son, Richard Hodges.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Mary Ann Jackson Hodges; two daughters, Wendy Cencewizki and Sarah Haney (David); his granddaughters, Rachel Cosner, Patricia Demitry, Brittany and Rebecca Cencewizki, and Julia Powers (Chad); and his sisters, Polly Deck and Betty Hodges.

He was retired from the Virginia Industries for the Blind and a devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church. A talented guitarist and singer, Davis’ passion for music led him to participate in numerous bands, and his lifelong love for fishing connected him with families throughout his entire community. He touched the lives of every person he met and leaves behind an inspirational legacy that will be honored forever.
