Everette Smith

Everette Smith, 83 of Goochland, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on January 23, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Everette was born on May 12, 1939, in Nelson County to Percy and Edna Mae Dolan. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister Pearl Lacey (Ed) and his daughter Janice Scruggs. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of 60 years, three siblings Evelyn Lattanze (Dixie), Harold Smith (Linda), Linda Watson (Roy); two daughters Genevieve Wood (Ernie) and Virginia Sanford; five Grandchildren: Darin Scruggs (Amber), Kelly Scruggs (Daniel), Robbie Wood, Tanya Robinson (Michael), Heather Smith (Jon); eight Great Grandchildren and a bunch of special nieces and nephews. Everette was very active in the community with softball, bowling, the Manakin Fire Department, Company #1 and a deacon at Dover Baptist Church. A viewing will take place at Norman Funeral Chapel in Goochland on Friday, January 27 ^th from 6-8pm, and A funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 28, 2023  at Dover Baptist Church, 365 Manakin Road, Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. Intermittent will follow at 11:00am on Monday January 30, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.
