Elizabeth Gloria Gibson

Elizabeth “Gloria” Gibson left her earthly home at age 80, in Goochland County. Gloria was born on May 14, 1945 and raised by her parents James and Callie Houston. Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, William “Danny” Gibson, and their children, Danny and Brian. Gloria joins their youngest son, Douglas, in Heaven. One of Gloria’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandsons Corey, Brandon, Erick and John. Her lifelong career was educating and training children; however, her favorite role was being “Grandma to all”. Gloria was considered “Grandma” to so many other children beyond her physical grandchildren. Her license plate read “GM2ALL”. Gloria’s hobbies were numerous - she loved working in her “memory garden” that she prepared for their son Douglas. Gloria enjoyed going to the beach and playing games - particularly Yatzee, playing pool and Big Uno. What Gloria was most known for was her walk with Jesus. Gloria’s life was a tribute to her faith and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandma and a true “patriarch” of the family. She will be greatly missed. ● Memorial will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11am at Central Virginia Assembly of God located at 5052 Cross Country Road, Mineral, VA 23117
