Richard Winfrey “Win” Jr. Duvall

Richard Winfrey “Win” Duvall, Jr. departed this life and was welcomed to his home in heaven on October 25, 2021. He cast off the limitations of mortality and embraced the ultimate Victory of eternal life, healing and redemption in the presence of his Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ.
Born on December 17, 1930 in Goochland County, VA, Win was and remains a devoted son, husband, father, friend, teacher and encourager to so many that remain. His life on Earth was one of many triumphs over challenging circumstances, and a shining example for others to follow. He loved his Country and Community. Sergeant Duvall served in the United States Army Reserve and was a Volunteer Firefighter. His impact on the business world was substantial, working tirelessly in a sales career that saw him rise from field sales to corporate executive and trainer, and owner of his own company, Win Duvall and Associates.
He was always ready with a helping hand to those in need, and was a constant source of inspiration to his family, friends and business associates. Many remember his patience with, and unwavering commitment to, those who were beginning their sales careers. His impact in the lives of those he trained has been invaluable and lasting.
His family remembers him as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, always ready and willing to provide wise counsel and support. Memories of his encouraging words continue to guide and inspire them as they move forward in life.
He was preceded to heaven by his father, Richard Winfrey Duvall, Sr.; mother, Mary Duvall; and sons, Richard Winfrey “Ricky” Duvall, III and Russell Wayne Duvall. His loving family that remains includes his wife of 71 years, Mary Ann Phillips Duvall; son, Ramon Duvall, his wife, Marsha, and their children, Marshall and Ashleigh of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Carolyn Duvall of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Renee Duvall Wolfe, her husband, Trevor, and their children, Justin and Brandon of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Michele Duvall Scannell, her husband, Brian Warner Robins, and their children Patrick, Caitlin, and Kevin of Georgia; son, Michael Duvall, his wife, Jenna, and their children, Naomi and Benjamin of Charleston, SC; and daughter, Sharon Duvall Carroll and her husband, Mike, of Atlanta GA.
Win’s life can be summed up by these words found in James 3:13, “Who among you is wise and intelligent? Let him by his good conduct show his good deeds with the gentleness and humility of true wisdom.” We will always remember his kindness and love for family and friends. His was a life well-lived that will be rewarded throughout eternity. His family and friends say farewell for now, but we will see you again soon, and we will be together forever!
