Donald Kruppenbacker

Donald George Kruppenbacker, 83, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on April 30, 2024.

Don was born on December 18, 1940, to Victor and Verena Kruppenbacker in Rochester, New York.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of 48 years, his two sons, Timothy (Erin) and Brian (Adriane), his two daughters, Donna (Stephen) and Mary (James), his grandchildren, Riley, Callen, Brynn, Blake, Bentley, Crystal, Michelle, David, Daren, Sueanne, and Michael, and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Verena, his two brothers, Gerald and Charles, his two sisters, Betty and Shirley, several cousins, and his nephew, Richard (Rick).

Don was a mechanic for over 50 years and took great pride in the service he provided to his customers. He spent time driving school bus for Greece Central School District while also maintaining their fleet of buses. He devoted more than 29 years of his time as the Chairman of the bingo programs for St. Charles Borromeo School & Church and The Aquinas Institute of Rochester. He also dedicated many years of service to the Greece Buccaneers Soccer Club.

Don loved camping, cruising, playing bingo, bowling, playing cards, reading, and playing games with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his nightly bowl of ice cream for dessert. He liked watching football, baseball, auto racing, and his grandchildren play sports.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Four Seasons at Charlottesville Clubhouse located at 444 Four Seasons Drive, Ruckersville, VA 22968 from 1:00pm–3:00pm.
