Daniel Harris

Daniel Eugene Harris, 82, of Palmyra, VA, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Iris. He is survived by his sisters Peggy Meyer, Barbara Stevens, and Deb Estep; two sons, David (wife Julie) and Larry; and four grandchildren – Matthew, Michael, Katie and Sophie.

After 9 years in the Navy after high school, he worked for IBM for 29 years. He leaves behind a legacy as a man of tremendous faith, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, a published author, and a lover of terrible jokes. His warm smile and good humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Even through his final illness, he continued to radiate the love of Christ to everyone he met. He fought the good fight and finished the race. We rejoice that his faith has been made sight.

A memorial service will be held on February 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Calvary Chapel Keswick – 3285 Keswick Rd, Keswick, VA 22947. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the amazing Hospice of the Piedmont.
