Betty Morrison Richardson

Betty Morrison Richardson, 81, of Palmyra, Va., died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Charlottesville, Va. She was born in Goochland County, Va. to Bessie and Lee Morrison. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William C. (Billy) Richardson, and a sister, Barbara Pfeiffer of Cumberland, Va., a son, Curtis Lee Richardson, and a daughter, Hope Richardson Jones. She has four grandchildren, Cameron Richardson, Mason Richardson, Owen Jones, and Hannah Jones-Eberle.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bessie and Lee Morrison, sisters Ann Lee Agee and Peggy Mayo, and brothers, Horace and Riley Morrison.

In life she was a secretary for many years in Fork Union, Va. for the Nat White Insurance Agency. She liked to work in her flowers and read. Lighthouses were a favorite thing to read and learn about.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at Salem United Methodist Church, 840 Salem Church Road, Palmyra, Virginia.
