Abraham Thomas "Tom" Brown

Abraham Thomas “Tom” Brown, 99 of Goochland, VA went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Venna C. Brown. He is survived by his son Bobby and his wife Janet, grandson Ashley and his wife Jamie, great-grandsons Taylor and Carter, and granddaughter Cindy and her husband Tommy Woody, great-grandson Wyatt Smith, great-granddaughters Katie and Amber Woody.

Tom was a devoted husband, father and poppa. He was proud of serving his country in the U.S. Army in the motor pool division, towards the end of World War II. He enjoyed a career as a skilled mechanic working on vehicles, tractors, and small engines; and was well loved and respected by his customers. Many remember him for his stories and jokes, which he loved to tell. Tom was a member of Mizpah Christian Church.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Norman Funeral Chapel, 2982 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia between the hours of 6:00-8:00 p.m. and a funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Mizpah Christian Church, 5257 Old Columbia Road, Goochland, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Mizpah Christian Church, 5257 Old Columbia Road, Goochland, VA 23063, or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
